Greek Tourism, a National Affair!
Potentials and Prospects.

About

The pandemic has dealt a severe blow to social welfare and economic activity worldwide. Tourism is one of the first sectors to be hit hard, and in this health crisis it is being tested hard.

Despite the significant challenges it faces in this unfavorable situation, Greek tourism shows high resilience, laying the foundations for a dynamic recovery in the coming years so that it is at the forefront of the national effort to return Greece to a sustainable path, economic development and social prosperity.

In a period of great and intense reorganization, with the pandemic changing the preferences of travelers worldwide, the protagonists of the tourism market, executives of institutions and companies in the industry and representatives of the regional administration and local government will meet in Athens to analyze the role Tourism is called to play a role in the reconstruction of the Greek economy and the trends that will prevail in the post-Covid-19 era.

The formation of a new model of development, the further improvement of the tourism product throughout the territory with respect to the needs of the local communities, the strengthening of the cooperation between the State, the regions and the private sector, the attraction of investments, the creation of new and quality jobs, the interconnection of the tourism market with other productive sectors of the country in order to strengthen the extroversion of the economy and the utilization of the funds of the Recovery Fund by the tourism sector, are the main “bets” for the next day of Greek tourism and will be found in top of the conference agenda.
